CALUMET – Willard Beauchamp, 93, a resident of Calumet, passed away Monday evening, April 8, 2013, at Cypress Manor in Hancock.
He was born on Jan. 7, 1920, in Ahmeek, a son of the late John & Georgiana (Belange) Beauchamp.
Willard lived in Gay until the age of 17. He then worked for General Motors for 45 years until he retired in 1981. Upon retiring, he moved back to Gay and had lived there ever since. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, golfing and dancing.
He was married to Patricia Seargent on May 30, 1940 and she preceded him in death in 1985. On Sept. 27, 1986, he married Emma Deiro Jerman in St. Paul the Apostle Church in Calumet.
Preceding him in death were a daughter, Cynthia; brothers, Frank, Homer & Lewis; sisters, Clara, Leda, Delia, Mary Ann & Eva.
He is survived by his wife, Emma of Calumet; three sons, Charles (Donna) Beauchamp of Lake Orion, Mich., Del (Roberta) Beauchamp of Pontiac, Mich., and Mark Beauchamp of Farmington, Mich.; five grandchildren, Chuckie Beauchamp, Aldo Beauchamp, Katrina McPherson, Donna Beauchamp, and Sara Beauchamp; three great grandsons; step-children, Darrell Jerman of Eagle, Colo., and Julie (Jeff) Melka of Ft. Collins, Colo.; son-in-law, Roger Dukart; several nieces and nephews.
Private family services will be held.
The Erickson Crowley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
