Local generosity heartwarming

To the editor:

The generosity of the people who live in the Copper Country is most heartwarming. The Kate Lantz Foster Fundraiser held at the Eagle Harbor Inn April 3 was a tremendous success.

The dinner, silent auction, raffle, bake sale, and band provided a fun-filled night.

We would like to thank the following contributors to our silent auction: Aspirus Keweenaw Fitness Center, Allouez Automotive, Birds Eye Creations, Bumbletown Bath Works, Carriage House Gift Shop, Country Village Gift Shop, The Daily Mining Gazette, Eagle Harbor Inn, Ferrell Gas, Magnuson Hotel Franklin Square Inn, Michigan House Caf and Brew Pub, McCabe Distributing, Mount Bohemia, Peterlin Distributing, Pisani Company, Society of St. John, White House Inn, Bud Cole, Bob and Patti Crampton, John and Ruth Dawson, Dave Ellis/Michigan State University, Tom Ellis, Lynn Ferguson, Elaine and Rick Finke, Suzi and Tony Gertsberger, Susan Harri, Barb Been, Ann Johnson, Steve and Lynda Kellow, Dick Lantz, Mike Lantz, Tony Lizzadro, Dick and Mary Probst, Tiger Salotti, Judy and Bill Smith, Meg Vivian, Jim Vivian, Kathryn Wyeth, the hardworking volunteers, those who baked the numerous delicious bake sale items.

Special thanks to the band (Sheriff Ron Lahti, B.J. Gariepy and Ken Olson).

The generous donations made to the Kate Lantz Foster Medical Fund at Superior National Bank are deeply appreciated by Kate and Joe.
