Patricia M. Johnson

DODGEVILLE – Patricia M. Johnson, 73, of Dodgeville, died at her home on Wednesday evening, April 24, 2013, with her family at her side.

She was born in Hancock on Feb. 21, 1940, to the late Edward and Eleanor (Schaaf) O’Connor. She graduated from Hancock High School in 1958.

She then worked for several local attorneys, and also for Governor William Milliken for a couple of years before being employed at Michigan Tech. There she worked in the chemical engineering department and later retired as secretary for the Army ROTC department.

Patricia was first married to Clarence Monette and later married Douglas Johnson on May 17, 1969. She loved her grandchildren and family, including her many pets. She and Doug enjoyed their annual trips to Las Vegas to visit friends and family.

Besides her parents, Pat was also preceded in death by a brother, Edward O’Connor.

She is survived by her husband, Douglas, of Dodgeville; two daughters, Julie Monette of Lake Linden and Susan (Ken) Dulong of Dollar Bay; grandchildren, Chelsea and Sarah Jackovic, Sean Perron, Cameron, Erica and Benjamin Gregg and Cory and Nicholas Dulong; two sisters, Marie (Dallas) Blakeman of Dollar Bay and Nancy (Jerry) Craven of South Carolina; and by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday in the O’Neill-Dennis Funeral Home in Hancock with Rev. David Weber of Sts. Peter & Paul Lutheran Church to officiate. Spring burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Houghton.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the time of services on Sunday.
