CALUMET – Kenneth Sevon, 59, of Calumet, passed away Monday, May 6, 2013 at Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital in Laurium.
He was born in Laurium on June 30, 1953, son of the late Eino and Doris (Bessonen) Sevon.
Ken worked as an electrician for the local I.B.E.W., 1070 before his retirement.
He was an avid outdoorsman who loved spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Shirley (Kinder) Sevon; two brothers, Gary and Gerry; one sister, Betty.
He helped raise four children, Craig and Rie Sevon of Marysville, Wash., Jim Sevon and Carole Kempainen of Calumet; Laura (Sevon) and Reid Rastello of Copper City, Mary (Sevon) and Duane Sever of Calumet.
He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren: Kristy, Nichole, Ryan, Elwood, Shawn, Sam, Anthony, Misako, Casey; great-grandchildren: Gabriel, Caleb, Xavier, Jonah, Aria, Ernie and one on the way.
At Ken’s request, there will be a private family gathering at a later date.
