STANTON – Suzanne “Toni” Burack, 67, of Stanton, passed away at home on Tuesday, July 23, 2013, after a short illness.
Suzanne was born on January 17, 1946 in Hancock to Henry and Ellen (Wirtanen) Mickalich.
She grew up in Painesdale and South Range, and married Henry Burack on December 16, 1983, in Las Vegas.
She had many occupations, including working at the Stop Shop in Houghton, Total Proto Plastics in Troy, Mich., and being a homemaker here in the Stanton area.
Suzanne enjoyed fishing, boating, collecting carousels, and was an avid reader.
She is survived by her husband, Henry of Stanton; daughters, Rachel Burack of Troy, Mich. and Melissa Burack of Chesterfield Twp., Mich.; four grandchildren; sisters, Sandra Mahr of Marquette and Andrea (Bob) Maggard of Dandridge, Tenn.; a brother, Steven (Gail) Mickalich of Painesdale; nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Suzanne was predeceased by her parents; her beloved daughter, Michelle Peterson, and a brother, Brian Mickalich.
Following Suzanne’s wishes, cremation has taken place and her family will have private services at a later date. For those desiring to do so, Memorial contributions may be made to Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Center, envelopes are available at the Barden Funeral Home, Stanton.
