One of two suspects in home invasion and robbery caught

WATTON – State Police from the Calumet post are reporting that one of the two suspects in the armed robbery that occurred in Watton on August 1 has been taken into custody. Acting on a tip from a retired State Police commander, a search warrant was executed in the town of Stephenson, Mich. Monday. Evidence of the incident in Watton was recovered as well as evidence of another armed robbery/kidnapping in Long Lake, Wis. that occurred later that same evening. One of the suspects was in the residence at the time of the search warrant and taken into custody without incident. He is being lodged in the Baraga County jail awaiting arraignment. His name has not yet been released. The second subject, Bernard A. Fish, age 27, is still at large and believed to be in Wisconsin. He is described as an American Indian make with short black hair, 5’11’ and 185 pounds. The Cadillac Escalade was located and it is unknown what vehicle Fish may be in at this time. The search warrant was executed by the MSP Emergency Support Team along with assistance from UPSET and troopers from the Gladstone/Menominee post. Also assisting in the investigation was the Florence County Wisconsin Sheriff’s Dept.
