HUBBELL – Janet Anttila, 71, longtime resident of Hubbell, passed away at the Omega House in Houghton on Sunday, August 18, 2013.
She was born June 19, 1942, a daughter of Guy and Mildred (Dessellier) Rheault. She attended Lake Linden-Hubbell High School, Class of 1960.
Janet worked at Cypress Manor in Hancock. Later, she owned and operated Antilla Adult Foster Care for 21 years until her retirement. She also catered dinners and made wedding cakes for many families.
On June 13, 1970, she was married to Harold Anttila, who passed away on February 24, 2001. Janet was also preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Willis Rheault.
She is survived by four children, Todd (Lori) LaRoux of Lake Linden, Rodney (Laura) LaRoux of Lake Linden, Tammy (Tim) Nakkula of Hubbell and Anita LaRoux of Atlantic Mine; 11 grandchildren, Joshua, Kristyn, John, Nicholas, Stephanie, Bobby, Kevin, Becky, Ashley, Jason and Jessica; numerous great-grandchildren; two sisters, Darlene Hughes and Fay Eiler, both of Green Bay; numerous other relatives.
A coffee social in memory of Janet Anttila is planned for Saturday, August 24, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Lakes Lounge in Lake Linden.
