KEARSARGE – Edward Lutz, 74, passed away at the Marquette General Hospital on Wednesday, November 27, 2013, following a lengthy illness.
Edward was born on February 14, 1939, in Ahmeek to Leo and Elizabeth Lutz. Ed graduated from Calumet High School in 1958. Ed worked in the local mines and at White Pine Copper Mine for many years. He also worked at Louie’s Super Foods for 15 years. On August 26, 1961, he married Delores Meneguzzo from Raymbaultown. Edward was a member for the National Guard for 26 years. He also was a member of the American Legion and Sacred Heart Church where he served as an usher. Edward enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers and Red Wings. Ed also enjoyed working in his garden and doing crossword puzzles.
He is survived by his wife Delores; and three sons, Edward Jr. (Kate) of North Pole, AK, Michael (Susan) of Houghton, and Gerald of Kearsarge; two grandchildren, Sara and Andrew. Also surviving is one brother, Ken of Laurium; two sisters, Betty (William) Zei of Laurium and Pat (Gerald) Primeau of Laurium.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, December 4th at 11 a.m., in the Sacred Heart Church with Rev. Fr. Abraham Mupparathara to officiate.
Friends may call at the Ryan Funeral Home on Tuesday, December 3rd from 5 to 7:30 p.m. with a Vigil service at 7:30. American Legion at 7 p.m.
