Paul Henry Bergh
COPPER HARBOR – Paul Henry Bergh, 91, passed away on December 4, 2013, with family by his side at his daughters home in Central Point, Ore.
Paul was born May 3, 1922, in Calumet, to Ole Daniel William “Bill” Bergh and Ida Mary Jarve Bergh of Copper Harbor.
Paul’s early work included being a chauffer, deputy for his mother Sheriff Ida Bergh, and airplane mechanic.
Paul made his home in Caro, Mich., with his wife of 65 years, Ruth. He worked in several positions for Detroit Edison, was an avid outdoorsman, and maintained a second home in his beloved Copper Harbor.
Paul is survived by his wife, Ruth; daughter, Patty of Central Point, Ore.; son’s, Randy of Copper Harbor and Steve of Caro, Mich.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Lou Bergh Patrick; and son, Mark Alan Bergh.
A graveside service will be held in the spring in the Copper Harbor Cemetery.
The Erickson-Crowley-Peterson Funeral Home in Calumet is assisting the family with the arrangements.
