The most wonderful time of the year
On this Christmas Eve, we’d like to take a brief moment to extend a wish of peace and goodwill to all readers of The Daily Mining Gazette and mininggazette.com.
Regardless of your personal beliefs, there is little argument that something magical happens this time of year.
We seem to be a little more patient with each other … a bit friendlier … and certainly more willing to help those in need. And generally without thought.
The money we’ve thrown in kettles or other containers, or the gifts we’ve purchased for children who are only known by descriptions on a paper ornament hung on a local gviing tree, are certainly not about tax donations or a “Hats Off” letter on this page. At this time of the year we seem to give only because somebody needs us to give. It’s as simple as that.
Now, if only we could take that feeling through the entire year.
Not only do we find ourselves giving a bit more at this time of the year, we also seem to appreciate what we have all the more.
In particular, the health and safety of our family and friends. At Christmas time, kisses from a child, hugs from family and handshakes from friends seem to have greater meaning.
On behalf of the entire staff of the Daily Mining Gazette, may the peace and joy that is so abundant during this special time, stay with you and yours throughout the entire year.
