Edward A. Brisebois
WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – Edward A. Brisebois, 77, a former Laurium resident, passed away February 4, 2014, in Winter Haven, Fla.
Ed was born in Brooklyn, NY and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served 21 years. He moved to Laurium in 1974 and was employed with the Finnish Mutual Insurance Company and the Italian Mutual Insurance Company. Ed was active in the bowling and golf leagues and in slow pitch softball. Ed ran the calcutta for the Jazzy golf tournament at Calumet Golf Course every August. He and ex-wife, Doris, taught junior bowling leagues at Miller’s for 10 years. He moved to Escanaba with his wife, Nancy, in 1989 and was employed with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan.
He is survived by wife, Nancy of Winter Haven, Fla.; sons, Bryan (Leigh) Brisebois of Stuart, Fla. and Dario (Nora) Martinez of Austin, Texas; daughter, Denise Brisebois of Laurium. Also surviving are grandchildren, Dario, David, Aimee, Jenni, Greggory, Nicole, Bryan; and great-great grandchildren, Ella, Miles, Sophia and Gabby; step-children, Steve Sidbeck, Michael Sidbeck, Cindy Tackett and Wendy Buraette; step-grandchildren, Lauren, Katy, Brianna and Jessica.
Memorial service will be held in Winter Haven, Fla., on Monday, February 10, 2014.
