Baby Tahner James LaHaie-Hutson

LAKE LINDEN – “Dearest baby boy, please know that our greatest blessing was having you.”

Heaven’s gain was our loss when our angel was called to be with our Lord. Tahner James LaHaie-Hutson passed peacefully in his mother’s arms with daddy and Grandma LaHaie by his side at Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital. Tahner’s family was blessed with his beautiful presence for 39 days before he went to his heavenly home. He was the answer to his mother’s prayers, and she waited for his birth with joyful anticipation. Tahner greatly enjoyed mommy’s soothing voice and gentle touch, daddy’s comforting songs, and being rocked to sleep by his parents and grandparents. He experienced holding hands with his mommy and daddy, hugs and kisses from his family, and being told “I love you” every moment of every day. He was loved by all who met him, and will be greatly missed.

He is being greeted in Heaven by his maternal great-grandparents, Violet Josepshon, Arvid Josephson, Ann LaHaie, Leonard LaHaie; paternal great-grandparents, Bruce Hutson.

He is survived by his parents, Jessica LaHaie and Jamie Hutson; big sister, Isabelle Hutson; maternal grandparents, Jon LaHaie, Linda LaHaie, Larry Posz; paternal grandparents, James (Laverne) Chapin, Kathy Fuller; maternal great-grandparents, James LaHaie, Marlene Pitz; paternal great-grandparents, James (Kathy) Chapin; aunts and uncles, Ryan Tauriainen, Andy (Amy) Tauriainen, Vienna Chapin, Jordana Chapin, Lilia Chapin, Mireya Chapin, Andrew Fuller, Audrey Fuller-Carney. He is also survived by numerous great aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital for the incredible care provided to Tahner and the family. A very special thank you to Reverend Martin R. Flynn and Deacon Art Stancher for baptizing Baby Tahner, and to everyone who helped us pray.

Tahner has blessed us for an eternity with his love, strength, and beauty. We remain in awe of our son…our hero.

The funeral liturgy service is planned for 2 p.m. on Sunday, February 16, 2014, in the Pearce Funeral Home in Lake Linden with Fr. Martin Flynn to officiate.

Visitation will be from noon until the time of the service on Sunday.
