Burke, Lions women dominate; Finlandia men rally to win

MILWAUKEE?- Finlandia junior Marissa Burke ended up one rebound shy of a quadruple double as the Lions rampaged 101-38 on the road at Mount Mary College Thursday.

Burke finished with 25 points, 12 assists, 10 steals and nine rebounds for the Lions (10-10), who led 56-18 at halftime on 64.1 percent shooting en route to the easy victory.

Four other Finlandia players scored in double figures, including Brierra Ruska (18), Mikayla Hakala (15), Mary Joan Maloney (15)?and Paige Yoho (14).

he Finlandia men’s basketball team overcame a rough first-half shooting performance for a comeback win over Grace Bible, 80-79, Thursday at Paavo Nurmi Gym.

The Lions (4-18) trailed 44-30 at halftime, but shot their way back into it in the second half, taking the lead with 5:46 to play.

Jonah Benoit’s trey gave FU an 80-76 lead with 1:46 left, which was enough cushion to survive to the finish.

Keith Arnold had a game-high 24 points on 6-of-16 from the field and 11-of-15 from the free-throw line, while Dominic Morrow collected 22 rebounds to go with his 17 points.

Brandon Robinson also cashed in 20 points and Benoit 12.
