Valentine’s gift appreciate

To the editor:

A week or so ago some young men came to The Bluffs to inquire about the number of women living and working there. At the time they gave no reason for their inquiry, but the reason became apparent when on Valentine’s Day, they came back with a quantity of roses sufficient for every woman.

We don’t have the names of those young men, so our hope is they will read the letter in the Daily Mining Gazette. This letter is an expression of our great appreciation of this gesture of friendship and affection of the community to the residents of The Bluffs. For their gesture we voice our thanks from the bottom of our hearts.
