Elizabeth “Betty” A. Pangrazzi
MARQUETTE – Elizabeth “Betty” A. Pangrazzi, 79, of Marquette, died Saturday morning, April 12, 2014, at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility in Ishpeming.
She was born September 17, 1934, in Calumet, a daughter of the late John and Elsie (Johnson) Niemela. She was raised on the family farm and was a graduate of Dollar Bay High School.
Betty married Donald H. Pascoe in 1956 in Calumet and he preceded her in death in 1969. In 1971 she married Jerry R. Pangrazzi.
Betty was employed as a secretary at NMU and retired in 1989.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church. Betty enjoyed needlepoint, cross-stitch, going to the beach, camping, bike riding, cooking holiday meals, wintering in Florida and time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Craig (Susan) Pascoe of Marquette, Teri (Bill) Reed of Sparta, Mich., Susan (Lloyd) Buckmaster of Marquette, Judy (Frank) Soulliere of New Mexico, Tina Gehrke of Colorado Springs, Colo., Brian (Sara) Pascoe of Lansing and Michelle (Pete) Redlon of Gwinn; grandchildren, Christine, Anthony, Whitney, Erin, Michael, Stephanie, Jessica, Josh, Ryan, Zachary, Theresa, Oliver, Simon, Zachary, Alex, Luke, Theo, Isaac and Sophia; great-grandchildren, Asher, IzaBella, and Cooper; brother, Robert (Grace) Niemela of Calumet; former husband, Jerry (Bertha) Pangrazzi of Iron River; and best friend and niece, Sandra Lowe of Gwinn, and other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Donald Pascoe and a sister, Ruth Hall.
A graveside service will be held at a later date in the Ishpeming Cemetery.
