Lions grateful for the support

To the editor:

The members of the Keweenaw Lions Club wish to thank the community for supporting our annual spaghetti dinner held at the Mohawk School on May 4th.

Because of your support we are able to continue to serve the needs of the handicapped and disadvantaged in our area. All funds are used for benevolent projects.

The success of our spaghetti dinner was also due in large part to the support we received from the business community. We wish to thank Vollworths, Slims Caf, Columbia Laundry, Eagle Radio, Great Lakes Mutual, Daily Mining Gazette, and all media for their public announcements.

We wish to also thank the C-L-K Public Schools and especially Mary Kingstrom for her hard work and professional guidance.

Thank you again to all who purchased tickets and attendance at the event. We cordially invite the public to visit our concession stand at the Eagle Harbor Art Fair, August 9th and 10th.
