Vets should make flight

To the editor:

Korean Veterans, if you have not taken the Honor Flight to Washington D.C., you don’t know what you are missing.

Possibly, for the first time since the Korean War, Korean veterans have been thanked for their service and those 38,000 who did not return were honored.

The Korean War Memorial is “special.”

When you see the haunting faces of soldiers on patrol, you remember, and are humbled.

Every Korean veteran should take the Flight. All costs are donated, you have no expense except a motel bill if you stay overnight.

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to honor those that did not return and a “thanks” for your service.
