Twilight co-champs downed

HANCOCK – Lee Naugle fanned eight batters as Pat’s Foods took down defending Twilight League tournament champions BlueSky Health 4-0 on opening night Thursday at Hancock Driving Park.

Ross Michaels had two hits and an RBI for the winners, while Naugle doubled and drove in a run in his own cause.

At Toivola, the other regular-season co-champion, Stanton, started 0-1 after Mosquito Inn stopped them 8-2 at home.

Will Williams went 3-for-3 with a double and scored three times.

Mosquito Inn broke the game open with three runs in the fourth and two in the fifth for a 6-1 lead.

Justin Kirby earned the win, striking out 10 in six innings, walking one and allowing two runs.
