Village of Calumet Police Department

Wednesday:

3:55 p.m. – Officer assisted the Houghton County Sheriff’s Office with a domestic violence complaint on Fourth Street in Calumet.

4:20 p.m. – Officer responded to a complaint of a disorderly person refusing to leave a business. Person did leave after officer arrived.

4:40 p.m. – Officer responded to a call of a possibly injured motorcycle rider. Person had minor injuries and refused treatment.

Keweenaw County Sheriff

Wednesday:

7 a.m. – Deputy picked up an injured fawn on M-26 in Agate Harbor and took it to a wildlife rehabilitator.

10:36 a.m. – Deputy responded to a complaint of barking dogs in Ahmeek Location. Owner was contacted.

4 p.m. – Office started investigation of a complaint of sexual assault in Allouez Township.

Wednesday:

Nothing to report.

Village of Laurium Police Department

Monday:

3:10 p.m. – Officer assisted with a structure fire on Kearsarge Street. No one was in the house and there were no injuries.

4:30 p.m. – Officer provided assistance with a disorderly patient at Aspirus Keweenaw Hospital.

7:25 p.m. – Officer responded to a report of a disorderly juvenile on Hecla Street.

11:15 p.m. – Officer responded to a complaint of loud music at a residence on Seneca Street.

Tuesday:

1:25 a.m. – Officer responded to a complaint of loud music from a residence on Seneca Street.

4:10 p.m. – Officer responded to a parking complaint on Tamarack Street. Owner moved vehicle.

Wednesday:

12:20 a.m. – Officer responded to a call about young children running on 1st Street and Woodland Avenue. Officer found the girls in a tent.

1:05 a.m. – Officer responded to a call about children running near 3rd and Calumet streets. Children gone when officer arrived.

2 a.m. – Officer provided assistance to the Houghton County Sheriff’s Office with an unwanted person at a residence on East Pine Street.

12:05 p.m. – Officer assisted the Houghton County Sheriff’s Office with a mental health pick-up order.

12:25 p.m. – Officer responded to a parking complaint on Iroquois Street. The owner moved the vehicle.

4:10 p.m. – Officer assisted the Houghton County Sheriff’s Office with a domestic dispute on 4th Street in Calumet Township.

8 p.m. – Officer responded to a call of missing dogs on Florida Street.

9 p.m. – Officer checked for person with child support warrant on Kearsarge Street. Person was not located.

10 p.m. – Officer responded to a complaint of a larceny of a dog on Iroquois Street. The Houghton County Sheriff’s Office returned the dog.

11:10 p.m. – Officer responded to a complaint of suspicious activity on Hecla Street. No problem found.

9 a.m. – Officers assisted an external agency.

9:20 a.m. – Officers responded to threatening text messages.

8 p.m. – Officers assisted with interview of a juvenile.

1:45 a.m. – Officers assisted with a possible domestic situation on Scott Street.

Hancock

5:11 a.m. – Officers made an arrest for driving while license suspended and having no insurance.

8:53 a.m. – Officers responded to a car-bicycle personal injury accident on Quincy Street. A car pulling out of a parking lot bumped a bicyclist on the sidewalk. Minor injuries.

10:30 a.m. – Officers responded to a harassing phone call.

7:47 p.m. – Officers responded to a complaint from a Garden Street about four-wheelers racing up and down the street.

8:18 p.m. – Officers made a general assist of motorist who requested they contact Portage Health, where he was bringing his wife for treatment for an allergic reaction.

1:45 a.m. – Officers responded to a verbal domestic incident on Scott Street.

5:40 a.m. – Officers were told to be on the lookout for a red pickup with topper southbound on Quincy Hill driving all over the road. It was not seen.

11:14 a.m. – Deputies responded to neighbor harassment in Portage Township.

4 p.m. – Deputies arrested a subject for domestic assault in Calumet Township.

4:44 p.m. – Deputies responded to a two-car PDA on U.S. 41 in Calumet.

7 p.m. – Deputies responded to a civil dispute over property in Adams Township.

7:10 p.m. – Deputies responded to a vehicle blocking the roadway in Kearsarge.
