‘MUTT’ world premiere less than a week away

CALUMET – Early Spring Productions first feature film, “MUTT,” is set to premiere at the Calumet Theatre on Friday. The premiere will be preceded by an All cast & crew gala dinner in the Calumet Theatre Ballroom at 5:30pm. The public is invited to the dinner and tickets can be purchased from the Calumet Theatre box office at 337-2610.

Tickets to the dinner are $15 and must be ordered before close of business Tuesday,

The film, “MUTT”, begins at 7:30 p.m. Admission to the film is free but donations are appreciated. Following the movie, key members of the cast will be introduced on stage where they will answer questions from the audience. Cast members will pose for pictures with the public in the ballroom following the Q & A session.

A second showing of “MUTT” will take place at the Calumet Theatre at 7:30 p.m .on June 28th . Admission is free.

Additional showings this summer include the Nii Win Akeaa Community Center in Baraga, the Forest Roberts Theater in Marquette and the Rozsa Center on the Michigan Tech campus. Dates and showtimes will be announced.

Early Spring Productions is located in Hancock and was founded by former radio and television personality Rick Allen. The mission of the company is to produce full-length feature films that will appeal to a national audience while building a hub of independent filmmaking in the Keweenaw Peninsula. Early Spring Productions is the only film production company registered with the Michigan Film Office in the Upper Peninsula.
