Naugle, Pat’s Foods blank Twilight League leaders

HANCOCK – Pat’s Foods pitcher Lee Naugle had as many hits as he gave up Tuesday in a 2-0 Twilight League win over league leading Mosquito Inn-Toivola.

Naugle had single, a double, scored once and drove in a run as part of a seven-hit attack for the hosts at Hancock Driving Park.

On the mound, he fanned 14 in a complete-game shut out, though Toivola was able to scratch out five walks.

Clint Heikkila also had two hits and an RBI for the winners.

Justin Kirby, who took the loss in relief, and Josh Patton had the hits for Toivola.

At Wolverine, Ray Wojtala went the distance for BlueSky Health in a 5-3 win over Wolverine-Orbit.

The winners got six hits from six players and took control of the game with a four-run second inning.

Kyle Storm homered for BlueSky, which pulled to within a half-game of Toivola atop the league standings.

The teams meet Thursday night in Toivola.
