BlueSky Health takes over Twilight lead
TOIVOLA – BlueSky Health took over the lead in the Twilight League standings by outslugging Mosquito Inn-Toivola 11-9 Thursday night.
At 7-4, the Dollar Bay-based outfit is a half-game up on 6-4 Toivola with both Wolverine-Orbit and Stanton two games off the pace at 4-5.
Thursday’s game was tied through five innings before the visitors posted a four-spot in the sixth and managed to hold Toivola to just a pair in its final at-bat.
Both Dave Wesa and Brian Juopperi had three hits for the winners, with Juopperi scoring three times and Wesa twice.
Kyle Storm and Jason Koski had a pair of hits apiece in BlueSky’s 13-hit attack.
Owen Kariniemi earned the win for BlueSky.

Stanton pulled even with Wolverine with a 16-9 home win. Stanton put up four-run innings in the first, fifth and sixth and broke open a game that was tied at 5 at the halfway point.
